Flint and Steel
With strength, with spirit and hardened with heat,
Thy Steel beseeched, bloodied through wounds of war.
And with gentle harboring, wonted through sweet
Warmth, Flint forsooth is strong and fain at core.
Swords and hammers, thou, Steel, do wield and more
But soft, ‘tis softer stone of Flint does Steel
Lose his edge upon hers as they thrust for
‘Tis the spark so small yet certain they feel.

Mysteriously Delirious
A soundless visage, your choices imperious
and graceful as they are fickle, impervious
to revision. Your glimmer of a smile, simply mysterious
and my smile nothing, only feverish and delirious.
That glimmer is a signal of nothing serious:
something angelic, sweet and simply harmonious.
As the melody flows with dainty dynamics,
you must realize that the one who is soundless, is me.
